Overland Trails Council - Camping
The Overland Trails Council provides many different outdoor programs for Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Venturing Crews. Some programs and rentals are also available to other organizations who are interested in using one of our camp properties.
Outdoor Programs include summer resident camp for Scouts BSA at Camp Cedars, Cub Scout Day Camps, Camp Amikaro (Cub Scout Resident Camp), family weekends, high adventure at a National high adventure base, and much more.
We also have a primitive camping property south of North Platte that is perfect for your troop or pack’s next outing.

Rent Whispering Cedars
Whispering Cedars is a 14-acre property along Lake Maloney south of North Platte, Nebraska. It offers the perfect setting for events and unit camping throughout the year.
Whispering Cedars is a primitive property that does not offer any staffed program opportunities. There are canoes available for rent, that can be used on Lake Maloney.
Whispering Cedars has the following amenities:

- Water spigot
- Picnic shelter
- Campfire area
- Pit toilet
